Water cutting high and low pressure setting and its application

The ultra-high pressure pump is the core part of the waterjet cutting machine. The following briefly introduces the water cutting high and low pressure settings and their applications.

1. Conventional high-pressure pumps have the same pressure for drilling and cutting
The pressure can be adjusted and set in advance, and it will not change during the punching and cutting process. There is only this pressure, or the pressure is not adjusted but the cutting speed can be adjusted according to the characteristics of the material. This kind of pump is often used for cutting metal and stone materials.

2. The second type of pump has two settings: low pressure and high pressure, usually low pressure drilling and high pressure cutting
Low-pressure punching is to prevent the material from cracking and being damaged before perforation, so reduce the pressure to punch to avoid damage. After the punching is completed, switch to high pressure, which will help improve cutting efficiency and save cutting costs. Usually used in materials that are easy to crack, such as glass.

3. There is also a special high-pressure pump that uses a slowly rising pressure method, which is also a low-pressure punching type, which is indeed a more advanced method of the second type of pump mentioned above. It can further ensure that no cracking occurs when cutting the material. This special high-pressure pump is often used to cut materials that are very easy to crack, such as crystals and those materials that are easy to foam in multilayer composites.
